This Privacy Statement describes how STOCKDOCK manages personal data and personal information, and respects your privacy. This policy may be amended from time to time. We encourage visitors to and users of our sites to regularly review our Privacy Policy.

All “Personal Information” (which is defined as any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains) that we collect and maintain will be subject to this Privacy Policy, as amended from time to time.

STOCKDOCK is made up of different legal entities. This privacy notice is issued on behalf of the STOCKDOCK group of companies. When we refer to “STOCKDOCK“, “we”, “us” or “our” in this privacy notice, we mean the STOCKDOCK entity that acts as the controller or processor of your information, as explained in more detail in the “Entities Collecting Personal Information” section below.

Like most websites, Stock Dock gathers certain information from you as a co-op member or user of the Stock Dock United website. We are dedicated to protecting your privacy and have outlined our commitment below.

Rest assured, we will never sell your information to third parties and will implement all necessary measures to keep your data safe and secure.

This Privacy Policy sets out the practices of Stock Dock United Co-op (“Stock Dock”) with respect to the collection, use, and storage of personal information related to the use of and services provided through Stock Dock’s website (“Site”). Stock Dock encourages visitors to and users of the site to regularly review the current Privacy Policy. 

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of and contributors to the Site and covers all interactions, including but not limited to use of the Services and customer/contributor relations inquiries as well as all Stock Dock-related services that may be managed through other sites. If you do not agree with these terms, do not access or use the Site or make use of Stock Dock’s Services.

When we refer to Stock Dock in this Privacy Policy, we mean Stock Dock United Co-op, the controller of your personal data.

We will need to ask you for certain personal information in order to deliver the services and to give you the best possible experience when you engage with us via our website or otherwise). Stock Dock will only collect or receive Personal Information that is relevant to the legitimate purposes of the Site and to enable Stock Dock to provide the Services and do business with you.

We may use Artificial Intelligence, including Machine Learning to provide some aspects of the services, service support, analysis, and our communications with you.

 

We will need to ask you for certain personal information to provide the services you have requested and to offer you the best possible experience when you engage with us and when you use our products and services.

We also collect information about you and the devices you use to access our website, or we may ask third parties to do this for us, in these cases we do so by using technologies such as cookies.

  1. Generally
    1. Stock Dock receives and stores any information Users and Contributors enter on the Site or provide to Stock Dock in any other way, such as email, telephone, or mail.
    2. Where you have created an account, we will also keep a record of:
      1. Your preferences for how you want to use our service and how you want us to contact you.
      2. Information we use to authenticate you.
      3. Which products you’ve signed up for, how much we’ve charged you and whether payments have been successful.
      4. Reference codes we may create to help us manage your data.
    3. While you may choose not to provide Stock Dock with certain information, this may limit your ability to purchase content and use some features available from Stock Dock or to experience the most optimized performance from the Site
  2. Registration and Social Logins
    1. To use some services of Stock Dock you will need to register as a user and fill out a form with some personal information that you provide to Stock Dock, including your name and email address.
    2. If you utilize the option to sign into your Stock Dock account using Google or Facebook login services, you provide some personal information to Stock Dock from those accounts, including your user ID and avatar for the relevant social media account as well as your name associated with that account.
  3. Purchasers and Contributors
    1. To purchase or sell content licenses from Stock Dock, you will need to provide additional information beyond that required to register, including contact and payment information.
    2. Contributors may be asked or are able to provide additional information for their contributor portfolio and profile, such as a biography, social media links, or photos of themselves. This is entirely within the control of the contributor.
  4. Site Usage Information
    1. Usage Information includes the information created from your use of the Services and Site including metadata, device, and browser information generated from your use of the Site, location information regarding where you are accessing the Site, data about how you use the Site, and device log data recording when you have used the Site.
    2. This involves collection of information, such as the following. Any such information collected is done subject to all relevant rules and regulations:
      1. Data about web browser and app interactions, collected automatically as you browse our Site.
      2. Searches and search results—what you are searching for and what results you are seeing.
      3. Diagnostic information—we may collect other data (such as which device you are using and how often you log in) to help us monitor our services to ensure they are operating correctly and securely.
      4. Where we sent you email or messages.
      5. We may also record any feedback you give us on or within our communications, to improve relevancy and content.
      6. From time to time, we may ask you to complete surveys, take part in market research, or the like.
  5. Consent by Registration
    1. By registering to create an account and accepting Stock Dock’s Content License Agreement, Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Policy , you consent to the use of your personal information as indicated in this Privacy Policy.
    2. You may correct, amend, update, or delete your personal information and change other privacy preferences at any time by signing into your account.
    3. If at any time you decide to retract your consent to this Privacy Policy, you will no longer be able to make use of Stock Dock’s services until you reissue your consent.
  6. Billing and Payout Information
    1. In completing transactions for products and services with Stock Dock or being paid royalties by Stock Dock, the following Personal Information could be collected from you:
      1. Billing information such as the number, expiration date, card type and billing address of your credit card;
      2. Demographic information such as a company name or type, job title and job description; and
      3. Contributor payment information for royalty payouts.
    2. When Stock Dock collects credit card information, that information will be collected by way of an encrypted secure socket layer technology (SSL) pass-through.
    3. Stock Dock does not and will not store any member’s credit card information on its systems.
  7. Model Information
    1. Through the course of releasing identifiable models so images can be licensed for commercial use, Stock Dock obtains basic information about each model, including birth date, name, contact information, and ethnicity.
    2. Stock Dock will retain model information indefinitely for business and legal purposes related to the issuance of licenses but never shares contact information without explicit permission from the model or where required for licensing purposes (such as SAG payment requirements).
  8. Information Collected Automatically
    1. Stock Dock will receive and store some information whenever you interact with Stock Dock through the Site.
    2. Stock Dock automatically receives and records certain “traffic data” on their server logs from your browser including your IP address, Stock Dock-related cookie information, and the page you requested. This traffic data is used by Stock Dock to help diagnose problems with its servers, analyze trends, understand usability issues, and administer the Site.
    3. There are programs offered by certain companies that help you to visit websites anonymously. By using such programs, however, you may impact Stock Dock’s ability to provide you with a personalized experience.
  1. Email Communication from Stock Dock: Stock Dock may use your email address to notify you about:
    1. Stock Dock-related news, products, offers, surveys or promotions, and/or
    2. Actions that have been performed on the Site including interactions with Customer Service, and/or
    3. Notices about your account or licensed content.
  2. Opt Out: You may opt out of receiving information by:
    1. Logging into your account and disabling certain communication options, or
    2. Clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email you receive from Stock Dock.
    3. You may not opt out of all communications. Where the communication is required to maintain your account or conduct other legitimate business purposes, you may not opt out.
  3. Sharing of your Email Address: Stock Dock will not provide your email address to a third party except as described in Section 7 below (Sharing of Information).

Cookies and similar technologies are alphanumeric identifiers that the Site transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser to enable Stock Dock’s systems to recognize your browser.
Stock Dock uses essential cookies to ensure the basic functionalities of the website and to enhance your online experience. Stock Dock uses additional, non-essential cookies to provide information to aid in advertising and analytics, including how and when pages on the Site are visited and by how many people. Stock Dock cookies do not collect personal information, and Stock Dock does not combine information collected through cookies with other personal information processed by Stock Dock to determine who you are or what your screen name or email address is.
Blocking essential cookies will prevent functional use of the Site and Stock Dock recommends that you leave such cookies activated. Non-essential cookies may be enabled or disabled through the cookie banner.

  1. Stock Dock uses information in furtherance of its legitimate interests in operating the Site and providing the Services.
  2. Stock Dock also uses information to assist in personalizing the user experience and improving the Site and Services.
  3. Information may be used to:
    1. Provide, update, maintain, and protect the Site and Services
    2. Communicate with users and contributors
    3. Develop tools and features through the use of other information to assess trends in use, search and discovery functionality, and other features of the Site and Services
    4. For financial reasons, including invoicing, setting up account payment terms, maintaining accounts, and related activities
    5. For legal reasons, including maintaining records of license purchases, model, and property releases.
    6. Once information has been anonymized or de-identified so that you are no longer personally identifiable, Stock Dock may use the information for any business purpose.
  4. Information may also be used for marketing purposes to:
    1. Send you communications (whether by email or other means);
    2. Advertise digitally;
    3. When you register to receive our newsletter distributed through our Email Marketing Program; and
    4. Where the processing is for other direct and indirect marketing purposes.
  5. If you utilize the option to sign into your Stock Dock account using Google or Facebook login services, Stock Dock will utilize your user ID to verify your identity and facilitate login.

Stock Dock will not rent or sell your Personal Information to anyone and Stock Dock will share your Personal Information only as described below:

  1. Personnel of Stock Dock: The personnel and authorized consultants and/or contractors of Stock Dock may have access to user information if necessary in the normal course of Stock Dock’s business.
  2. Payment Processing: One or more outside credit card processing companies will be used by Stock Dock to bill you for the goods and services offered by Stock Dock. We make every effort to ensure any company with which we may share Personal Information protects that data in a manner similar to this Privacy Policy and to limit the use of such Personal Information to the performance of the services being provided to Stock Dock.
  3. Protection of Stock Dock and Others: Stock Dock may release personal information when it believes in good faith that such release is necessary to:
    1. comply with any law, order, rule, or regulation;
    2. enforce the Terms of Use, Content License Agreement, other license agreements, any policies of Stock Dock, or any other legal agreements, or;
    3. protect the rights (including intellectual property rights), property, or safety of Stock Dock, its members, employees, contractors, or others.
    4. As examples, Stock Dock may exchange information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction or where ordered to by a court; or Stock Dock may provide model contact information to the buyer of a license where payment is required from the buyer under SAG rules.
  4. Other Service Providers:  Stock Dock utilizes a number of third-party tools and systems in order to provide the Services to Users and Contributors. These third parties include but are not limited to credit card payment processors, customer management systems, project management systems, image hosts, marketing and user experience integrations, and tools for contributors to manage their sales information. Stock Dock carefully vets third party services to ensure proper handling of any shared data
  5. Contributor Information: Contributor Information collected during registration and visits to the Site, such as your full name and location, social media links, or personal website addresses may be displayed to other Stock Dock users in your member profile. Contributors control what Personal Information is included and displayed publicly to other Users through the member profile and account settings.
  6. With Your Consent:  Except as noted above,  if your Personal Information is to be shared with third parties or used for a purpose incompatible with the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected, Stock Dock will notify you in advance and allow for opting out where feasible.
  7. Legitimate interests: When necessary for our legitimate interests and legitimate business activities of Stock Dock.
  1. Passwords
    1. Your Stock Dock User or Contributor account information is protected by a password for your privacy and security.
    2. You should protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer by using a strong alpha-numeric password and by logging off once you have finished using a shared computer.
    3. Stock Dock utilizes one-way cryptographic salt and pepper hashing to secure all of its User and Contributor passwords, making their contents irrecoverable, even to Stock Dock employees.
  2. Access by Stock Dock Employees
    1. Only personnel of Stock Dock who need personal information to perform a specific job (for example, a customer service representative, legal team member, or accountant) are granted access to your member account information.
    2. All of Stock Dock’s employees will be kept up to date on our privacy and security practices.
  3. Encryption of Sensitive Data
    1. When you enter sensitive information through our Site, Stock Dock encrypts that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
    2. Collection of credit card information from Stock Dock’s users and members is collected by way of an encrypted secure socket layer technology (SSL) pass-through, and
    3. Stock Dock will not store any member’s credit card information on its systems.
  4. Disclaimer: Although Stock Dock will use commercially acceptable methods to protect all Personal Information submitted to it, you should be aware that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure.  Stock Dock cannot guarantee the absolute security of such Personal Information.

We may transfer your personal data outside of the country where it was collected as some of our systems may process and store data outside of your country, namely in North America. Where this is the case, we take appropriate steps to ensure that your data is managed in line with Privacy compliance requirements and with the appropriate safeguards set in the applicable privacy laws/regulation.

  1. To request removal and deletion of personal data obtained by Stock Dock in the course of providing its services, please contact Stock Dock’s Legal team using our contact us page. 
  2. If you are making the data removal request for an account identified by a different email address than the one used to make the request, please reference the relevant email address.
  3. Upon receipt of a request, we may verify some or all of the information provided prior to deletion or anonymization of data, but all covered data will be deleted within 28 days of request or verification confirmation as required by law. 
  4. You may exercise the below additional rights, subject to certain exceptions and limitations:
    1. Right to Know/Access: You have a right to know and access the personal information that Stock Dock maintains about you.
    2. Right to Correct: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information that Stock Dock maintains about you.
    3. Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to exercise control over the processing of certain personal information.  This may include the right to opt-out from the processing and use of your personal information for sales, certain profiling or targeted advertising, and from the use of sensitive personal information.
    4. Right to Portability: You have the right to obtain a copy of personal information Stock Dock maintains about you in a format that is portable and readily usable.
    5. Right to Appeal: You have the right to appeal Stock Dock’s decision regarding the processing and use of your personal information for sales, certain profiling or targeted advertising, and from the use of sensitive personal information.

You must be 18 years or older to register to use the Site, and Stock Dock has no intention of soliciting or collecting Personal Information from anyone under that age. If Stock Dock learns that it has collected information from a minor under the age of 18, Stock Dock will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you are under the age of 18, do not enter any information on our Site. If you are under 18 but interested in becoming a contributor, please contact us using our contact us page to inquire in addition to filling out any application. Accepted contributors may be 16 and over, and may enter Personal Information related to their accounts.

We would not process the personal data and would immediately delete the personal data of minors or children below 16. 

If you decide to visit the Site, your visit and any possible dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use, including limitations on damages, arbitration of disputes, and application of US Virgin Islands’ law.

Stock Dock may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time, at its sole discretion and in order to comply with then-current law. If Stock Dock makes changes to the Privacy Policy, Stock Dock will notify you by posting an announcement on the Site or sending an email so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances if any, it is disclosed. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, and will be subject to, any material changes to this Privacy Policy after such notice has been posted.  Use of information collected by Stock Dock will be subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used, regardless of when the information was collected.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of March 23, 2026.
