The Annaly area of northwestern St. Croix is as remote as the island gets. The rainforest here receives more rainfall than anywhere else on St. Croix, feeding a series of freshwater pools that cascade toward the sea over dramatic basalt cliffs. The coastline at Annaly Bay is raw and unprotected — no beach bars, no resorts, just volcanic rock, crashing Atlantic swells, and the sound of the forest.
